"Today, Monday, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Region, approved the Municipality’s operational plan for the year 2022. With the aim of achieving the ambitious goals of the city by setting indicators to measure the performance of all agencies, departments, and municipalities affiliated to it, and verifying the accurate progress in implementing qualitative works, programs, and initiatives. .
The plan included 146 performance indicators, 134 development initiatives, and 97 institutional projects. It will contribute to the development of services provided to the population, and ensure the implementation of various service works in accordance with annual targets,  to determine the extent of progress achieved on a quarterly basis, to intervene in a timely manner and address any challenges to ensure the continuation of the trend towards achieving what was planned.
The ceremony of approving the operational plan witnessed the review of the most prominent achievements of the Municipality during the year 2021, which represent an incentive to achieve higher numbers in the current year. At the time, the Municipality officials made visual presentations about the stages of implementing responsibilities and tasks, raising the efficiency of their achievement, and ensuring their compatibility with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs projected on the municipal sector.
The approval of the Riyadh Municipality of the operational plan comes within the framework of its interest in achieving the ambitious goals of the city, and working within an institutional framework based on smart performance indicators capable of contributing to raising achievement rates, to keep pace with the city's aspirations towards competition at the international level, and to achieve a quantum leap in various fields.
