"Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region and Chairman of the Region Council, chaired today, in his office at Qasr Al-Hukm, the Council’s first session in its first session for the year 1443 AH, in the presence of Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region and Deputy Chairman of the Region Council.

The meeting began with the praise of God Almighty for the development and progress the Kingdom is witnessing in all fields, under the directives and follow-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and the support and attention enjoyed by all sectors.

The Council noted the efforts made by government sectors, especially the Department of Education, for the urban return of students at all stages, and the preparations that were made to create all appropriate conditions for that in light of the ongoing Corona pandemic.

The Secretary General of the Region Council, Alloush bin Faris Al-Subaie, stated that the agenda of this session was reviewed, which included the minutes of the meeting of the previous (fourth) session of 1443 AH, which was held on 13/03/1443 AH, and the recommendations and decisions issued in this regard.

After that, they discussed what was mentioned in the report of the Development and Utilities Committee, which included a number of topics and proposals related to development and service aspects, most notably the new projects of the Ministry of Transport allocated to the Riyadh region, which would improve services in  Riyadh.

The Council reviewed topics submitted by the Education Committee and the Economic, Health, Cultural and Media Development Committee, as well as the programs and projects related to the Family Affairs Committee, the most prominent of which was the Family and Community Forum, which was sponsored by His Highness the Governor of Riyadh Region, Chairman of the Region Council, and the role of the Women’s Committee for Community Development in holding the forum and signing the agreement between Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University and the Family Affairs Committee, in order to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of social responsibility to support and empower the family.

The council reviewed the topics submitted by the Women's Committee for Community Development and considered the reports submitted on a number of programs and visits implemented by the committee.
At the end of the meeting, the Prince of Riyadh thanked the members of the Council for their efforts in preparing studies and crystallizing useful proposals."
