The Riyadh Municipality is implementing a package of 13 development projects across 45 municipalities throughout the region, as part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade local and collector roads in the provinces and centers of the Riyadh Region. These efforts aim to facilitate traffic flow and enhance the quality of infrastructure.

The organizing committee of the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress, hosted by the Riyadh Municipality in collaboration with the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), has opened registration for those wishing to attend the event, which will be held from December 1 to 4, 2025. Multiple registration options are available, including an early bird discount for a limited time, reduced fees for local students, international participants, accompanying persons, and virtual attendees, as well as special discounts for authors. Additionally, discounted rates are offered for participants from countries classified by the World Bank as low- or middle-income.

Riyadh Municipality, in cooperation with security forces and several government agencies, continues its intensive inspection campaign in the densely populated and commercially active Manfouha district. The campaign follows numerous observed violations and public reports received via the "Balady" (Madinity) app, particularly concerning food safety and product quality. It targets food establishments, meat vendors, cafes, street vendors, and some residential homes that have been converted into storage facilities for food items, in addition to tobacco-selling outlets.

As part of its ongoing inspection efforts, and in coordination with relevant and partner authorities, the Riyadh Municipality has recorded 26 violations posing a threat to public health at several beverage-serving establishments in the city. This came during a field inspection campaign aimed at protecting public health and ensuring these businesses comply with municipal regulations, resulting in the closure of two establishments due to serious recorded violations.
