2026-05-25Riyadh Region Municipality has identified violators of the regulations governing the conduct of users of parks and public spaces after they were caught engaging in a number of improper behaviors in the southern and eastern sectors. The necessary legal procedures were taken against them after their violations were confirmed through the smart monitoring system in Riyadh’s parks.
The Municipality explained that the violations detected at Al-Hayer and Al-Mansourah parks, within the Municipality’s southern sector, in addition to Al-Yucca Park within the Municipality’s eastern sector, included lighting fires, damaging plants, and unauthorized street vending. These actions were identified as part of ongoing technical monitoring efforts aimed at enhancing visitor safety and preserving public facilities.
The Municipality affirmed that such behaviors affect visitors’ experience inside parks and public spaces, and require continuous follow-up to ensure the provision of a safe and well-prepared environment for daily use by families and all segments of society. It also noted the continued activation of smart monitoring systems alongside field inspection tours, contributing to raising awareness of positive behaviors, preserving public facilities, and enhancing the use of open spaces within the city.
These efforts come as part of the Municipality’s role in supporting urban development, improving quality of life, and providing organized urban environments that contribute to building a vibrant society, in line with its vision for a prosperous and sustainable city within the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
