Riyadh Municipality has completed its preparations to celebrate the 95th Saudi National Day through a comprehensive field plan covering the capital and the region’s governorates. The plan includes diverse programs and events that reflect the significance of this national occasion and the symbolism of the celebrations.
As part of the preparations, more than 9,000 flags have been installed across Riyadh city, in addition to 49,000 flags across regional cities and governorates—bringing the total to over 58,000 flags adorning main roads, bridges, public buildings, and squares.
The Municipality also enhanced its plan by illuminating bridges and tunnels, decorating parks and public spaces, and providing logistical and organizational support at celebration venues. In addition, it activated response and support teams of more than 9,000 personnel working around the clock to ensure smooth traffic flow and the quality of preparations.
The celebration program features theatrical shows highlighting folkloric and traditional arts, interactive competitions, and roaming performances across various sites. Dedicated children’s zones will host workshops such as ink making, handicrafts, coloring Najdi doors, and jewelry crafting, alongside fun activities like face painting and balloon releases. Visitors will also enjoy 360-degree photo booths, national music performances combining oud and violin, and folkloric displays.
The events offer a holistic experience through dedicated areas for shops, restaurants, and cafés presenting products with a national theme, as well as art installations and creative exhibits that merge authenticity with ambition. Additional highlights include visual storytelling of the Kingdom’s journey, traditional games for children and youth, and national musical evenings.
Across the region, governorates and affiliated centers will host National Day celebrations at 47 sites over three days, featuring traditional shows, national parades, artistic and cultural programs, and children’s activities such as drawing, workshops, and physical games. These will be complemented by interactive photo booths, poetry and music evenings, and traditional food markets that bring a national flavor to the festivities.
