The organizing committee of the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress, hosted by the Riyadh Municipality in collaboration with the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), has opened registration for those wishing to attend the event, which will be held from December 1 to 4, 2025. Multiple registration options are available, including an early bird discount for a limited time, reduced fees for local students, international participants, accompanying persons, and virtual attendees, as well as special discounts for authors. Additionally, discounted rates are offered for participants from countries classified by the World Bank as low- or middle-income.
The congress, held under the theme “Designing the Cities of Tomorrow, Today,” will bring together experts and planners from around the world to serve as a global platform for dialogue and exchange of expertise on the future of cities. The program includes showcasing innovative urban planning solutions, benefiting from the experience of global leaders in planning and design, and building strategic networks and partnerships that foster knowledge exchange and support sustainable urban development.
Participants will also address contemporary urban planning issues, challenges related to population growth, efficient infrastructure management, and the integration of modern technologies in city design. The congress will explore urban policies that enhance quality of life and strike a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability.
